As you may or may not know we are holding a Wawayanda Creek cleanup this Saturday, June, 9th. We will meet at the gym at 9am and decide on a plan of attack. Thanks to member and Village Trustee, Bill Lindberg, for helping organize this expedition. Bill managed to finagle the DPW into picking up whatever piles of debris we create. Also, the village is generously donating trash bags for our use. However, please wear appropriate clothing and bring gloves as we will be traipsing through the river and along its banks collecting refuse, railroad ties and other miscellaneous items.
Even if you can come out for an hour please do so. This is a worthwhile cause; a chance for you to give back to the community and feel good about yourself (in a non-that WOD kicked my butt- way)
On another note we will be having a pullup clinic on Friday, June 29th at 6:30pm. This class will last an hour and be coached by intern, Ben Chianchiano. (No, you are not required to ever say his last name) Sign up will be posted at the gym. All members are invited to come and work on their kipping or butterfly pullup technique.
One last thing: In an effort to compile all of our member's pictures for the near-naked member's board I will be sporadically asking you for your mugshot. If you don't look your best, not to worry, we've all been there. Since you all signed the video and photography release portion of the waiver I will disregard your grumblings and snap away. Thanks for your cooperation.
